Has anyone else used GNC Ultra Mega High Calorie Booster or something similiar to supplement their diabetic kitties food? If so have you found it to effect their blood sugar?

The 2nd ingredient is sugar and the 4th is corn syrup. I would expect a diabetic cat's glucose to skyrocket on this stuff.

That's what I was afraid of. I'm going to cut it out for the time being due to concerns about diarrhea as well.

I think that most canned cat foods are considered nutritionally complete. Unless the vet has said, or the bloodwork indicates, that he is lacking one or more nutrients I don't know that he would need supplements. Bob for instance is low on potassium so I have to supplement that.

Oops I just read in one of your other threads that cartman(awesome name!) hasn't lately seen the vet maybe? Can you see if they could possibly get a copy of his bloodwork report from when he was diagnosed? That could tell you if there's anything high or low with his blood beyond the diabetes.
