High BG and aggressive/abnormal behavior?

I posted this in a thread about my kitty, but thought I'd make its own separate post. Over the last week or so, as my cat Joplin's BG has gotten higher (we just switched him over to Lantus yesterday, so hoping for better results), he has become increasingly aggressive with my other cats. He is chasing them, biting their necks, and mounting them (all males). Has anyone seen behavior like this in their sugar kitties? He was always the one that would be picked ON, so to see him acting out in this way is very unusual. I'm constantly having to break up fights between him and my others that he is instigating. He's not hissing, scratching or really hurting them (or me) in any way...it seems like more of a dominance thing. Just wondering if this could be related to the high blood sugar, and if anyone else has had this experience with their cat before getting them regulated.

How high is high for his bg? It could be that he just feels plain awful and is not going to tolerate the others near him. hoping that someone can help you with the dose and get his numbers into line so that he feels better.

Well we just started him on Lantus 2 days ago. He's running in the mid to upper 300's, with his lowest so far being 276. I'm sure the vet will want to adjust the dose after 5-7 days, but for now, he has prescribed 1 unit to start.
