We're still out here - life has thrown us some huge curve balls, but Linus is hanging in there and looking and acting very healthy. In fact, his BG levels have been dropping to much lower levels, and he is maintaining on a much lower dose. I don't have a spreadsheet current, but I do still test before shots and in between when I can, and I have all the information, just not online. I have no idea why he is so close to normal numbers after all this time, but I'm not complaining.

I'll try to check in more often, and maybe get a spreadsheet updated so I can get input if I need some with these lower numbers.

HI LINUS BUDDY!!! It's your old pal Grayson here. Glad to se you are no longer hanging out at IHOP! Me either!!! Mom says I'm finally at a normal dose of insulin!!! No more 50 gallon drums infused with a garden hose!!! Hope all is well on CO... mom, my buddy Spartacus and I just got back from visiting Grandma in Illinois. What a long drive!!!
Be good, buddy, and tell your mom n lex hi from me n my mom.

Well, this is a very late reply...

Good to hear that Linus is doing so well. These guys never play by the rules, or get the memo, or something. There have been cats that go into remission many years later, although if they are going to do it usually it happens sooner with lev and lantus. Beau went into remission after more than 2-1/2 years, but that was soon after a switch to lev (3 mos.)*. I know of another cat that went slowly down the dosing scale over years and went into remission after something like 6 years, 4 of them on lev (if I have my numbers right). She doesn't post here any more so i can't check.

Even if Linus doesn't go into remission, lower numbers, and doses, are good.

*Beau has been back on insulin about 10 mos - after more than 3 yrs off of it. His health has been declining for about 14-16 mos so that is what I attribute it to.
