I have been finding information for Izzie on this board since He was diagnosed in January. The community is an excellent source for all who have or care for diabetic cats. I know my own weaknesses in this arena (long ago my long time vet wanted me to burn my big book of the dog .. Every decision tree in the book ended in " call your vet, your dog will die.") and I have to avoid obsessing. Izzie is currently doing well, our vet hasn't banned us, I check his BS every few days. I have little to offer in the way of advice. For newly diagnosed, other than looking here, Dr. Pierson's site is truly a necessary beginning. Thanks to all those who have posted their experiences in coping.
