Hi LL friends! I just wanted to stop by and say hello and let you all know that I am doing okay. I miss Morgaine terribly and am still feeling tremendous grief but I do know she is at peace. Mine wilk come eventually. This has been one of the hardest losses for me because Morgaine was my cat and mine alone. Other pets were shared with my former husband and although always painful to lose them, the bond was totally different. I never thought I could feel so deeply about her but I did. She was my joy at times when I really needed some joy. Her sweetness always made me smile. Towards the end her pain and discomfort made me realize I could not put her through anymore suffering.
My heart aches, my tears flow and then I remember all of you. I remember all the generosity and kindnesses. I remember the help with regulating her and the advice so freely shared and I want to thank you all once again for all you did to help us and then me when I let her go.
I have since received some cards from the vets who were involved in Morgaine's care and treatment. They all agree that she had some major neurological issues which were probably not the result of out of control FD. In fact, the vet who was primarily responsible for her care feels that her diabetes was pretty well regulated. I wanted you all to know this since so many here are working so hard to regulate their kitties. Morgaine's condition was more complex than FD. I will probably never know exactly what was happening to her except that it was time to let her go, to fly free and stop suffering so much.
Right now it is still hard for me to come here and visit condos. Let me just say that I hope you are all doing well. I think of you all and your kitties and dogs, often. Please know that I pray for well being for everyone here daily. I will check in again, soon.
My current plan is to replace my carpeting and adopt another kitty. My apartment manager is very supportive and she will get me the reduced rate she gets for all of the vacant apartment here when they replace the flooring. She is also willing to consider something other than carpeting if it fits the apartment well. So, my options are pretty wide open.
Be well and give those sweet kitties of yours scritches from me.
