Hi all.

Well I'm back from the travels - lol. OK I've been back for a while and I've been a bad Gator and have neglected to stop in here. Since I've been back I've been getting life in order. Got the carpets cleaned which I had put off because of H's blasted IBD - that was very nice! Been hiking and really relishing the things [alternate focuses] H's illness allowed me to bring into my life. Just had my b-day - walked down to the beach and had many drinks. Somehow I found the bus stop home. :-D

I'm sorry I have not been in here. I sincerely miss my FDMB & PZI family. If any have the time or will I'd love to hear any of the latest from anyone.

Next topic-
I know I had hinted that H's brother F might have some issues and well, he really does. Appetite is a serious issue right now. He's been brought back from FL and is about to be brought back from a certain University hospital in IN - most likely with a feeding tube for the near term. Any input you all may have to my post in Health is welcome/appreciated.

Despite the full workup including MRI, there is nothing definitive as to what is going on. Laparotomy may eventually be on the horizon but the feeding tube will allow us to explore a couple avenues perhaps before that.

Hi Gator,

Sorry but I don't have any input on the feeding tube issue.

I just wanted to say hi, we are new here since July this year and I've heard your name spoken in the hallowed halls of PZI, it's good to know that you really exist.

Happy Birthday, glad you made it home ok.

Robin

Welcome HOME Gator! :-D We have missed you.... Sarah even abandoned FF (the post, not the food) though when I PM'd her about it she hinted she may be back soon...

Bixie's IBD has worsened in the past month or so. Debating an ultrasound.

Robin,
Hi too! Took a look at you SS and you guys seem to be making great progress! Good news, good news - I'm so happy for you guys. I do exist, I'm of flesh and blood too not just ether. Thanks for the b-day wishes.

Joanna,
The PZIers are SO lucky to have you here. I miss reading your replies and saying to myself, "man she articulated that well." I want to spend more time here but I've been a little bit of the kid at the buffet with the things I had missed/neglected. Friday Five on hold... Sarah is special. The last year has been a whopper, you guys helped keep me afloat.

I'm sorry to here about The Bix - even now I feel the IBD thing is like the amorphous unknown that's hard to nail down. Despite what some vets may feel I do feel diet plays a roll. H's brother F is on the verge of having a laparotomy for his IBD/potential lymphoma - kind of [unfortunately] brutal way to get definitive answers IMHO. Very frustrating. Grrrr.

Wow... there are vets who think diet DOESN'T play a roll? I would peg that as the biggest piece of the puzzle, though of course I am sure there are some cats where it isn't a factor. But from what I've seen - big factor. Last year Bix was showing signs of worsening & I dodged a med increase with the switch to Wellness, and that's held him for a year now.

Hope they get F on a good track soon, & eating better.

:YMHUG: GATOR! So happy to see you here! and welcome home to cool and damp so.cal.
we had about 8 sunny days this summer and the water never really warmed up so you did'nt miss a thing...june gloom straight thru september.
