We are doing very well. I got over my bout of self-pity and recovered some normalcy with the help of Mr. John Walker and his buddy Glen Fiddich.
I had to take Suzi into see the Dr. today and spent about 45 minutes to an hour talking to him about a ton of great stuff, including some very technical details about PZI and the possibilities of remission in Sabian due to the pretty drastic diet change and her upcoming dental next Friday.
He has sent me some very good veterinary abstracts and studies on the various subjects including one human meter comparison on dogs. It's very good and I'll probably post it with permission.
I'm still testing Sabian with the Relion Micro, but I'm not stressing at all when she dives low on it. I'm keeping that 32% low reading in mind and mentally calculating her "actual" numbers. We're devising a scheme to let me borrow his Glucopet BGM and run at-home comparisons between the two for a day or so, hopefully pulling out an error variable between our two different monitors. It'll be an interesting couple of weeks, especially after her dental. I'm curious to see just how drastically it'll affect her numbers.
We're still working with Suzi and her stomatitis but we've already exhausted a lot of sub-$10k options.
So far, very good action here.
