I have been to the place before where Baxter BG has dropped after eating. Its not by much, but it is a drop.

Before food this morning @148
1 hour after food @145.

For the last 3 weeks he has been receiving .50 in a U-40 syringe.

I guess this is the time I should start Micro Dosing? Its been awhile since I have done it. I have that little scared feeling inside about giving insulin since he is coming down.

I do have the day to play this game. I am stocked on test strips. I can catch his BG if it starts to rise.

Is Micro Dosing what I should do?
Catch his BG when it is rising then give insulin?

Baxter SS is updated.

Thank you for any suggestions.

he's never shown a "scary" drop, this insulin seems to be pretty stable in him so I would. He isn't close to normal numbers so as long as he is rising and it's a small dose I think you're safe.

Have you changed foods again at all?

Remember the 20% rule:
If the low number + 20% overlaps the high number - 20%, the values should be considered THE SAME.
This is because the FDA allows meters to be within 20% of the 'true' value.

In other words, sorry, but that wasn't a drop. It was more like the food going in was evenly matched by the insulin coming in.

Now, if he'd gone down 29-30 points in an hour, that would be a drop.

Thanks guy for your information.

BJM thank you for clearing that up for me. I didn't know that.

@cellosmom Hi there! Baxter has been eating sopho cat for a couple of weeks now. He seems to like it.

I ended up giving him .25 he started to rise.
