My cat is on insulin and monitored. I was wondering if anyone has experience with Dia-ionX or Blood Sugar Gold for cats. They are supposed to help support healthy blood sugar levels. I was not sure if I should ask my vet if they would be any help. Thanks.

Those products are simply a way to throw your money away, IMHO.

The insulin you are using is helping to support the pancreas and let it heal.

A low carb diet will help keep the BG levels lower than a high carb diet.

Getting your cat to a normal weight will help with the BG levels also.

The home testing helps you to see in real time what is going on with your cats BG levels.

You are already doing what you need to do to help your cat.

That is what I thought, but i had to see if anything else I should do. My vet is excellent, informed and is following the guidelines posted on this site. I asked just in case. Thanks.

Well, if you wanted to get a spreadsheet up and running and plug in a couple of weeks of test numbers, we might be able to see something else that is going on with your kitty. The spreadsheet is simply a grid for storing numbers, no math involved.

Directions for setting that up are here. You just need to have a google account, no need to download the template to your computer. The one step the instructions forget to say is you need to change the "Share " options to "anyone with the link" to allow us to read your SS.
