Hi, when I test Marnies blood glucose my monitor also gives a HCT reading. Her HCT seems to fluctuate a fair bit , usually staying in range but lately quite often at tha lower end of the scale
For example a couple of days ago her HCT were as follows
AMPS 38, +4.5 28, +8 22, PMPS 27 , +3.5 38, +4.5 24, +6 21
Yesterday I didnt get as many tests in but it was36,29,35,33
Just wondering if it is normal for it to go up and down like this

hct should not vary that much. I say that the wide variation is due to the HCT part not being calibrated for cats. There are differences between feline and human blood. An cat HCT lower than about 28% means there is something wrong with the cat. With an HCT of 21 the cat should be lethargic. I would disregard the HCT reading.

Thanks so much , puts my mind at rest :)
She has no signs of being lethargic at all
