Help with dosage again...

I’m at a loss....should I increase back up to 1 unit? She is now getting a can of FF before AM shot, she gets another can divided into 3 meals in a timed feeder during the day. She gets 1/2 can before PM shot & the last 1/2 around +3 or +4 depending on my schedule. I can’t leave the timed feeder out overnight due to my allergic cat & if I try locking Petunia up with her food she screams the entire time. I don’t think she can handle more than 3 cans a day, she is starting to gain weight again. She still screams for food a lot & drinks a lot of water. She also gets about a teaspoon of pumpkin AM & PM along with 1/8 teaspoon Miralax AM & PM. I’m puzzled since 1 unit seemed to be too much at the beginning & we have gotten better numbers on lower doses in the past. I’m feeling like I should go up to 1 unit but wanted another opinion.

yes I would try 1. I wanna see some greens. :)

Let's give the 1U a couple of more cycles, to see if it helps Petunia.

I'd suggest no more than 3-4 more cycles at this 1U dose.
If the BG levels are not lower at nadir by then, another dose increase is due

I’m ready to scream.....how does she go UP after PMPS??? And why was she giving me greens in the beginning? I thought the constipation was the issue but it appears not. I have added pumpkin but that shouldn’t cause such an increase should it? She’s also getting Miralax & I haven’t seen any evidence that she’s constipated again. Ugh....

She's still at a low dose. Try not to worry. Insulin needs change.
