We're doing our first curve today.......starting to see the numbers come down a little....what I don't understand is what we learn from this, other than his high point, and this low point? And then when we have the information, what do we look at exactly? I know we need to give to the vet, as she requested, but what can we learn that she's not going to tell us?

You want the minimum BG to be about 100 or so. You can go lower if using a human meter.
The low is typically between 5-7 hours and varies with the type of insulin used.
You should edit your signature to add the type of insulin you are using.
I really do not know why you are doing a curve today since your dose has varied a lot. A curve, especially if using Lantus or Levemir (depot insulins) need constant dosing to be representative.

That's fine. Larry is also correct. Overall, you want to do a curve once in awhile to help determine dosing and effectiveness. So far, the curve numbers you entered look pretty good.

Thanks Larry.......any input is welcomed....we are new to the curve.....
