Tonya & Lexie

Member Since 2010
My sugar kitty Lexie has been OTJ for the last since 2008 she was playing and act normal Tuesday, and the Wednesday evening when I was head to bed I found her laying in the hall. She tried to get up and walk, but her hind legs seem to be injured, but I can't tell how or if maybe something else is going on. I have an apt with the Vet tomorrow any thought on what kind of testing should be done. I know she needs X-rays to start with, but what else? She is eating, but she doesn't move from her spot on the couch. I have a some what limited budget, so any thought about what I need to ask/talk with the vet about would be greatly appreciated.

Update on Lexie

Apparently Lexie has Arthritis in her hips. The Vet thinks she may jumped and landed on her hind legs too hard which made it too painful for her to walk. She is up and walk today, but she still has some pain so we are treating w/pain meds. The Vet is putting her on a different med for her arthritis next week because they are out of stock, and the pain meds he gave her can cause other problems with long term use.

Seconding what BJM said.

I'm glad Lexie is moving around again, and hopefully a bit more comfortable for the pain relief.
