Hi and welcome Rebecca and Garfie. I have been reading about you via Shawna. She's a good friend to help out in this way. I suggest you make your signature so that Garfie's information is available to the members who read and respond to your posts. Here's how:
Editing your Signature
In the upper right corner of the screen, within the dark blue bar, you will see ID, Inbox, and Alerts
Click on your ID.
On the left, under Settings, Click on Signature.
This is where you will put information that helps us give you feedback.
There is a limit of 2 hard returns; you may separate pieces with commas, dashes, | etc.
This is where you paste the link for your spreadsheet, once it is set up.
Add any other text, such as
your name,
cat's name,
date of Dx (diagnosis)
insulin
meter
any other pertinent issues like if there are any food issues, history of DKA, hepatic lipidosis, pancreatitis, allergies, IBD, etc.
Click the Save Changes button at the bottom.
This forum is essentially a Welcome Mat on the Front Porch. Many, but not all members look here for activity. You say you are using Lantus and there is a forum that the Lantus users post in. I am going to give you a link to that forum, all you have to do is click and you can start a new thread there asking the questions about dosage. If you like, you can just highlight your post here, copy it and paste it into the new thread on the Lantus forum. To the Lantus Forum --->

Be patient with yourself and stop worrying now, you are in the best place you could be for help, support and to learn how to take good care of Garfie. Shawna has said that you have to go elsewhere to use a computer and log on to FDMB. I suggest that when you can, you do some reading here on the board. The stickies at the top of the Lantus forum are invaluable and the following link provides info on hypos and what to do if one happens, in addition to the Index that contains lots of info about diabetes, treatment etc.

Printing out the info on hypos would be a good idea, and also printing out the info on a hypo toolbox and creating that toolbox so you have it just in case, whether you can get to a computer or not. Get educated, be prepared and you are going to sleep a whole lot better.
