@Diana&Tom -

So it is countrywide. Stress and fatigue make me feel very cold at times so I couldn't tell whether it was just me finding things unusually parky for the time of year. I started putting the central heating on in the evenings last week. August FGS!!!

I've had the radiator on the last couple of evenings too Mogs - but I'd rather that than the freak heat we had mid-August !!

I remember how much I hated really hot weather in London. 'orrible.

I'm fairly lucky in terms of getting through heatwaves. The north side of the house, - where I spend most of the day - stays quite cool in summer. Don't even need a fan during hot spells. Unfortunately in the colder months this tends to be a less advantageous characteristic of the property.

Can a Canadian get in on this?
Thunderstorms all night. More supposed to be rolling through this afternoon. Severe thunderstorm watch. Grey clouds at the moment and muggy. 29, feels like 36.

And return the Purina stuff for a refund. Most cat go off it rather quickly. Cats gotta eat.

All welcome... we could sub-title this site “International Weather Reports” at this rate.
Muggy = horrible, you have my sympathies.

Little bit of whiskey on the gums......

Not sure where you are getting your tuna from but M&S have some tuna in spring water in their clearance (still well within date) for 85p per tin. That's were I stocked up and the tuna is good. Made a nice tuna jacket with it too (that was for me) :D

Slightly off-topic ramble...
I popped into my local M&S today to look at boots (will be needed soon and I don’t like ordering footwear online, it’s inevitably the wrong size). Remembered also that they had tuna on offer so wandered over to the food section. Sure enough, there was the one Anna mentioned. 85p a tin reduced from £1.70, bargain. I put a couple of tins in my basket and just as I did so, another shopper almost pushed me out of the way - reached onto the shelf for the remaining tins and scooped them all into her basket. I was quite taken aback and in one of those slightly surreal moments, I almost said “Oh, you read about these on FDMB did you?” (thankfully I stopped myself).
I had another surprise when I got to the till and found that the tuna was even cheaper than the shelf ticket said - 42p - so look out for them, UKers.
Didn’t buy any boots :(
