I just got home from work and I got her food ready and fed her the methimazole in baby food then tested her and PMPS was 193. I'm going to stall w/ no food and retest. Should I just go with the 0.5u or 0.25u?

I might do 0.25 if you can't test at+4-5
Okay I can test at +4 tonight. thank you. I don't understand what is going on. Shes eating and acting normal. Still hungry. I want to be happy but I feel there is something wrong.

Why do you think something is wrong? These are awesome numbers!!!

I think in general 1 unit may be too much when she's yellow but it's hard to say for sure because there's no mid cycle data. I have a feeling it may need another slight reduction. If you could possible get those readings it would give a better picture of what's going on.

Your doing a great job... Your cat is lucky to have you. :)

Because I've read tho its possible for remission its rare and with vetsulin as well. I just don't know.
She's not in remission yet, but it's nice seeing these numbers coming down! My cat went into remission after four months on vetsulin. Remission isn't that rare.

So I just tested 30 mins later and its dropping. 177. Still 0.25u?

Hi Rebecca, glad you came here from FB. If you look at other cat's spreadsheets you will see that Candi's numbers are actually quite ok. It would probably be helpful to you and everyone here if you could get more daytime tests on weekends (you probably work during the week) to help get a fuller picture of what's going on, but otherwise there's nothing wrong with your cat.
