Sorry Roberta, for some reason I’m not getting any of your tags and didn’t see this until just now.

I agree with @Wendy&Neko and would stay at 0.25u. Also, food changes can upset the GI tract if done too quickly so it’s possible that there’s something in the new food that isn’t agreeing with her.

If you do bump the dose up, I strongly encourage you to get more PM cycle tests. She’s shown an inclination to be sensitive to small amounts of insulin and to drop low at times. You’ll want to catch those lows, both so you can intervene if needed to keep her safe, and so you don’t keep chasing high BGs with more insulin if the opposite is needed.

Does Chloe go outside at all? Has anything other than the food changed recently? Have you been having any problems with your Relion meter or current batch of test strips?

I’d also continue to test for ketones regularly.

My vet is wondering if she lost weight, but I don't have a scale. Her fur has become dull and spikey.
@Roberta and Chloe One of the best things I did was buy a baby scale off Amazon. It has been invaluable in monitoring and tracking my cats’ weight (standing on the bathroom scale with/without the cat and subtracting the difference just isn’t accurate enough). I’m sure someone can post a link to a good one, otherwise I can track down the link for what I bought. I think it was around $40 — one of my better investments!

The spikey, dry fur is an important clue, so it’s important to continue noting those sorts of things. Did that start with this most recent round of being back on insulin? Unkempt fur and weight loss are common symptoms of diabetes but can be the result of other medical issues as well. Just something to keep in mind.
