Hello, Been a while since last time. Leo was fine with Prozinc, happy and Healthy. However he is not eating for a day. His sugar is on his range and no keatons. He is not dehydrated. He is hiding and sleeping. He wants to eat but once in front of the bowl nothing. I can't go to the vet till tomorrow. Any Idea.Help please!

Sorry you are having trouble with Leo. I don't have a lot of suggestions, but hope other people will be able to help you out. Do you have any freeze dried treats you can sprinkle over his food? I heard sometimes tuna juice works too. I would take the 911 out of your title and replace it with the question mark. Add the world help at the beginning maybe. 911 is saved for emergencies where cats are in a dangerous situation and need immediate attention.

Thanks! I have changed the title. Yes I did have him some treats and ate some of them. I am a little scare as he had an ketosis in the past, however this time there is no ketons in his blood so I don't know what to do. He is also kind of tired and inactive.

I have read on here examples where a couple of people have fed some MC food to get their cats eating because some kitties can't help themselves when it comes to gravy. There are also appetite stimulants you can get from the vet. If someone more experienced doesn't come along and help you will try and figure out who to tag.

Thanks, we are now in Spain in my home town, It is a small with no emergency vet. I've managed to talk to my vet and he told me to observe him for today and try to give him more food even if it's just treats. If he doesn't improve we'll go tomorrow. Thanks for all your help

This info may help give you some other ideas for How to stimulate kitty's appetite

Have you been able to test for ketones recently?

With kitties who have a history of DKA, it is important to try and test for ketones, they can build up quickly, especially when there is inappetance.

The recipe for DKA is not enough insulin + inappetance + infection or other systemic stress

If you can encourage Leo to eat, try to get some extra water in the food if you can.

I'm glad you have a vet visit arranged, it is always important to get to the bottom of why a kitty doesn't want to eat.
