Haven't posted for a while, but really need help interpreting numbers. Had a little fluctuation with daylight savings and then having to back up the shot time, but just can't get good numbers. I keep increasing by .25 at least every 6 shots and most the time I wait more than 6. Her numbers seem to come down, but then go back up. I switched food in mid-feburary and went from feeding two large meals to several small ones to stop her steep drops. While she seems to have evened out nicely, she is just too high. Could I have missed a good dose? Do I need to keep increasing slowly? I really appreciate any help!

I thought about it being the insulin, so I just started using a new bottle a couple weeks ago hoping that was the issue.

I looked at the spreadsheet, I am not an expert but what I see is that you might want to take a day and do a complete curve, testing every hour to see what Phoenix is doing with that insulin. I don't know if it will give you the information you need to make a determination on dosing, but it will give you information to move forward with. I just find it a little strange that you were getting better numbers with a lower dose, but I am not saying that I think you should reduce, I just think you might want to get a few more spot checks each cycle and then pick a day when you can do a full curve to get more information. It is my experience that the more information you have the easier it is to make dosing decisions.

Any chance of getting some night spot checks, maybe a before bed test? Cats often go lower at night. My Neko has gone months with lows at night and bounces during the day. Without the night time tests it would look like she needed more insulin, when in fact she needed less.
