I talked to Dad last night and I am worried..
It seems like Jack is eating alot. Well..way more than he did before diagnosis. I asked Dad how much and he said more than before we took him to the vet but not as much as our black cat who eats everything in sight..
He says he still drinks a lot of water but he is noticing he doesnt have to refill it as much as he used to.
Says Jack is still acting a little depressed and is not himself. He goes off by himself where noone or the other two cats will touch him. occasionally he'll come up to my dad and beg to be put on the couch so dad will put him on the couch.
His legs are still pretty bad. Havent gotten my Methyl b12 in the mail so I can start that yet. Could this wanting to be left alone be due to the neuropathy in his legs and not wanting to be touched?
Dad told me last night, he absolutely refuses to BG jack..I try to push him but then we just end up fighting..
I was going to go to the house today and do a curve but I came down with an upper respiratory infection and my mom has end stage COPD so I can absolutely not be around her so I have to wait until I am better before going there.
My question is does Jack sounds like hes high? Im going to call the vet tomarrow but we are broke so we absolutely cant take him in until the 3rd. Do you know if a vet would simply BG just to get a reading like everyone does at home? I really cant afford another curve.
Does it sound like I should up his dosage on my own? or should I call the vet and let them give me some suggestions.
Does jack also need a third meal during the day. Right now as it is, Dad only feeds him before his shots.
I guess any suggestions you could give until I take him in on the third would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying frantically to get a place, ( Im living with my boyfriends parents and they say no cats) so I can have him with me again.
I feel sooo bad..I feel like I gave diabetes to him from him stressing about me being around, but I had to move, I had no other choice. I miss him terribly
