HELP-Going for first trip away- crazy high numbers

So, we did a lot of testing this weekend on Boops. We are still seeing high numbers, and I have been so busy the past few days that we haven't tested like we should. I am stressed about 1. Is his dose appropriate? 2. Leaving my boy in someone else's care. I was hoping that by this time (3months in) that we would have him more regulated.

When do you leave Erin?

I think Boops needs an increase, but I don't know if I'd do it if you're not there and your petsitter can't test

I feel your pain. I'm leaving on vacation week after next and Fred isn't regulated yet and we're at 2 months since dx. I hate leaving him, as I'm sure you do.And I d k if he knows I'm leaving or what but he is fighting the shot tonight. He has his daggers and he likes to bite. Grrrr.

That stinks! I'm lucky because my boy takes things so well. We leave Friday afternoon. I definitely don't want to increase him while we're gone. I've been wondering about an increase. We've had so many bounces that it's been hard to tell anything for sure.

I sure can't give any advice about the shots. Hope he comes down. I'm trying to get Fred down too.

I don't see any good reason for him to be bouncing (but without a few more tests, it's hard to say for sure) and we want him out of those "HI" numbers, but I wouldn't increase if your sitter can't test several times a day

I'd make sure you ask your sitter to check for ketones if at all possible, especially while he's so high
