Looking for advice on what dose to give pudge. 0.75u-1u seems to give us a dose reduction and then he never stays low enough to keep the reduction. I know I need to be doing more curves and day/night tests. The intention was there. With crazy work schedules and my younger sister recently being diagnosed with cancer in another city and moving home for chemo etc etcetc life has just got in the way. Now that she is home I will be home to do a curve on the weekends (as long as nothing else happens). I know not much can be said with the data I have but any advice is appreciated. We are going on 4 months of being back on the juice and I don’t feel we have made any progress :( it is so discouraging to not achieve remission. Should I switch back to prozinc? Increase the dose? I have no idea anymore, nothing seems to help him.

I am so sorry about your sister.:bighug:
It does look like Pudge needs an increase but I would get some more inbetween tests both cycles first I think to see if he drops lower midcycle. Maybe a curve this weekend will tell us more.
Are you following TR or SLGS? Maybe if you were following a protocol you might see better results.
Lantus is a good insulin....I would stay with it if I were you. It is always harder the second time around to achieve remission.

Thank you, it has been a tough month.
That sounds like a good idea, I am anticipating a curve on Sunday and will try and get some more mid day readings before we increase.
We are following SLGS but I would like to move to TR if things settle down and more testing is possible, I would prefer TR as there is a better chance of remission.

I'm very sorry to hear about your sister, Kristen. Healing energies to her and the family through this difficult time. Many hugs to Sis and yourself. :bighug::bighug:
Hugs and chin scritches to Pudge while you are at it, please.

Thank you so much, I appreciate it. She is only 19 so it has been quite the shock.
Pudge appreciates having her home all day though so he gets lots of attention these days :)
