HELP!!! BRADY JERKED AT SHOT TIME

Ok, I didn't think anything of it at the time, now after thinking about it...My Brady jerked when I was giving him his insulin, got some of it in but not all of it, so I just reinjected and finished his dose, Please tell me that was ok, he got his full dose, no fur shot...But did I do the right thing finishing the shot?

Try again after a "fur" shot is not recommended since you really do not know how much was injected the first time. This may be a concern since this morning you got a low of 119. It may be a long night for you since I wouod periodically check to see what is happening to the BG so you can take action if BG going too low.

Wait, I didn't refill the shot, It was all one dose, no added insulin whatsoever....He jerked and I didn't get the entire shot in the first go at it, I just put the rest of what was in the syringe from the same dose in...So one dose, no added insulin...and just had to do it twice since he moved prior to me finishing his dose...

You were fine doing what you did Pat. When Brady jerked, it could have bent the needle. Hopefully not.

It's only if you think you missed the shot, or partially missed giving the shot, that you don't want to try to give the same dose again. The suggestion for "never shoot twice" is because you could end up overdosing your kitty.
