My vet sent me home with a bottle of Adequan and a handful of insulin needles. I am to use .25 ml, so she said to go to "25" on the needles. However, these needles are from two different sets. They are both marked for U100 insulin, but one is a 3/10ml needle and one is a 1/2 cc needle.

Does "25" really mean the same thing on both?

Also I pulled it up last night before I realized I wasn't supposed to give it until tonight. Is it still ok to use or like Lantus and I should start fresh.

25 is 25.

25 units is 25/100ths of a ml on a U-100 syringe (this does not apply for U-40 syringes...different math).

3/10cc capacity hold up to 30 units. So you will be filling that one to nearly full at 25 units.

1/2cc capacity holds up to 50 units. So you will be filling that one to about 1/2 full for 25 units.

There are also 1cc syringes (which you don't have). They hold up to 100 units of U-100 insulin.
25 would be one-quarter filled.

Sorry, can't answer you question about the 'freshness'.

Adequan does not need to be refrigerated and should be good until the expiration date on the bottle. You should not have to draw fresh.
