My name is Cheri. My sister Sue and I will be sharing my account. We have 2 cats and one of them was diagnosed with diabetes in Jan. 16 of this year. She is 16 years old and the hardest thing for her was that she can not eat every time she wants to. It is nice to find a place where we can learn from others that are going through what we are going through. Our cat's name is Precious. She gets 2 shots a day of vetsulin.

Most of us feed about 4 times a day. I free feed. Really it's OK for your cat to eat if it's hungry, just no food at least 2 hours prior to the preshot test so the number is not food influenced.
