Hi all
I’m Lydia and my cat is Terri.
terri is a female, around 10 years old and was diagnosed with diabetes Christmas just gone.
She has always had a ‘healthy’ appetite so it was very strange when she seemed even hungrier and started dropping weight.
The vet started her on Prozinc and built up gradually and she’s doing really great! We did get up to 5 but came down a bit and seem settled at 3.5. But I don’t currently do any home testing - the vet doesn’t trust any of the home testers she’s tried so doesn’t recommend it, but reading around this forum I feel really blind and getting more and more nervous about shooting away without being armed with information.
I also currently feed her royal canin diabetic wet food but I’m reading that there might be better options.
so I’m looking for UK recommendations for a good home tester and wet food if anyone is happy to share?
thanks so much in advance. A pic of her loveliness is hopefully attached if I’ve done it right!
