We have a 7 1/2 year old female tabby named Kitty who was diagnosed July of 2015. I do at home testing on a Bayer EZ Contour Next meter and she is on 2.5 units 2x a day of Lantus insulin. She is doing good, has her ups and downs but generally great. Looking forward to connecting to others as this is always a learning experience!

Welcome.
It is very good that yo are home testing. Most of us here test before each shot and periodically between shots. We record our reading and other info in a spreadsheet. See:

What are you feeding? A low-carb canned is best. No reason for a prescription food. Here is a list of commercial low-carb canned

Hi Patricia! Welcome to FDMB from another Ontario resident. I'm in Toronto. Where are you located?

This is a wonderful community with an extraordinary amount of expertise and knowledge for all things feline. Your little girl is adorable and I see she likes her boxes like my furkids. Boxes do wonders for the home décor don't they? :D Looking forward to getting to know you and Kitty! :)
