Wellington
Member Since 2014
I was introduced to this site by Sueandsamwise. I think she gave a good description of my situation. Wellington was a rescue around 2005. He was possibly 3-5 years old. He was diagnosed diabetic around 2007. We have managed his health without a problem until the beginning of this year. My wife is now traveling for work and I am only home half of the month. Wellington is getting his medication, but not on a perfect schedule. We are finding it is too expensive to have people come and go from the house to give him his shots. We would love to let him go to a retirement home, but $5,000.00 is just too much.
I was hoping to find someone who is a stay at home, or has people at home to give him his regular shots. I feel very bad that he is not getting good medical care or human contact. When we are home he will not leave us alone because he thinks we are going to leave. I think it is taking a toll on his health.
I took him for his checkup last month and the Dr. says all his levels are perfect for a diabetic cat. I am willing to do whatever is in my power to make him happy and keep him healthy. If anyone wants to adopt him please let me know.
