Kind of depends on how much under 200 he is. Is it going to be possible to get two pm tests in? Say one at +11 and then his pmps? So we can see if he is headed up or still falling. Then post here for help before you shoot and feed...If he is still headed down then you are going to want to stall without feeding to see if he is started up to a safer number to shoot. I know it all gets really confusing when they start giving you better numbers but we can help you figure it all out.

I will be watching for you tonight and try to be around to help out so far I think you are doing great with him today's preshot was awesome, but he still has a ways to do go before he is where you want him but he is getting there. :-D

Yep you got it...stall 15 minutes without feeding and retest. You don't want to shoot a still falling number. Although if you factor in meter variance he is actually probably standing still but still would like to see him trending up.

ok he went up to 201 after 15min. So I gave him the shot a little less than 1.50u
He wanted to eat really bad. When should I retest? +1,+2, or + 3? Thanks..

Looking at his spreadsheet his insulin doesn't seem to really kick in till +3 so I think you could wait......but if you are curious and Heathy doesn't mind- there's no harm in testing as much as you like.

I tend to get all wrapped up like Jez is a science esperiment and I know I test more than I need to.......but when she sits on the desk like is doing right now....the ear is just too tempting :).

Yes, getting more data points for the ss is so tempting. ;-)

How about giving him a good hug and ear scritchies instead?
 
Actually if you figure in the +/- 20% of the meter variance he is still very flat so it could be that his insulin either has a later onset this evening, or it just took him back to where he was before he ate.
