He is gone

My grandfather passed away tonight at 9:20 p.m. He did not awake from his coma and looked quite serene as he passed. There was a harpist playing some music and my mom and aunts said it calmed not only him but them.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I know that every little thought sent helped him to pass on peacefully.
 
Please give your family my deepest sympathies. Give yourself a big hug from me.

I've found that when my family members and friends have departed this physical world, they left a big part of themselves here with me, in my heart. So they aren't really gone at all.
 
(((((hugs))))) I am so sorry for your loss Sarah. I hope his going peacefully is a comfort. If you need to talk, or have memories of him you'd like to share as time goes on, you have many friends here. :)
 
Sarah, I am very sorry for your loss. I hope it is a comfort to you and your family that he is at peace now. I hope in time that your memories will ease your pain.
 
Thank you, everyone. It is indeed a comfort that he went peacefully. He lived a wonderful life and touched many others' lives with his kindness and generosity. He will be missed.
