We are in the dark, so who knows what might help. He does get decent midcycle numbers - sometimes- but the preshots are so high. The three times a day dosing should have changed that for the better if it was that the insulin wasn't lasting long enough, but that seemed to make it worse. So I would think he is bouncing except that it seems to happen almost immediately - which is unusual - and his lows don't seem low enough to cause a bounce that high.
If you can monitor, you could up by .5. The good news is that he does seem to react within a cycle when you have made a change, so you would probably see a change right away if you are going to see one?
