Havent been here for awhile, need help!

My cat has been doing great for two years. Tiny dose of insulin, just a little fluctuation, but otherwise pretty regulated.
Just recently his numbers have gone through the roof!! He's been peeing everywhere. I upped his dosage to 2units. Doesnt seem to be helping. Today his bs was 543!!! I dont know what to do...is he becoming insulin resistant? His nadir is now what is bs usually was. HELP.
 
Have you had him checked for a urinary tract infection? UTI's will raise the blood glucose as well as contribute to peeing everywhere

The first thing I'd do is get him to a vet for a check-up

Dental issues can also wreak havoc with numbers

I will definitely bring him in. Have to wait til after weekend. :(
 
Well we went to the vet. No ketones that is good. They thought maybe he had a hint of a uti so hes on antibiotics, and im upping his dose to 3 units. Weeeee what fun. Now i have to try to regulate him all over again after all this work...and spent all my xmas money..ugh..today is shite.
