Just wanted to let you know that Harrison earned his wings yesterday afternoon (7/27). It was so very hard to let him go but it was for the best for Harrison. He was doing well until July 21st when he started just nibbling at his food and then he went downhill so fast this past week. It does seem that he developed liver problems. With his readings going back up again, Harrison would have had to go through some intense hospitalization and the recovery prognosis was not good. The new vet and the assistants were very kind and supportive in giving us all the time we wanted to say our final goodbyes and be there with him when he left us. George “Harrison” Ford (my daughter named him) was 10 yrs., 4 mos. old. His parents were both feral cats that I fed and he along with his three siblings were born on my porch (since mom felt safe to give birth there). I was able to find homes for all but decided to keep Harrison to be with his sister who is 6 months older. We were able to trap and spay his mother after Harrison was born. I want to thank EVERYONE for all the advice and support that was given. This site is so awesome to everyone who is in need of advice. I could not have gotten this far with Harrison without all the help and support everyone has provided.
