Happy Valentine's Day from Ginger and Jackson and Me.

Jackson gained 7 ounces this week.
He is growing up.
He acts like a boy and runs as fast as he can and jumps on top of things, and makes as big of a thud as he can.
Sometimes, he is a purring sweet kitty too :)

Next week, I have to call every evening to see if I have to go to jury duty selection. Not what I need.

At the end of January, I put the dog bed where the Christmas Tree used to be, and added some cat pads, and maybe they smelled like J.D., but Ginger at first smelled them and then started cozzying up in them and just laying there, and acting kind of melanchany. There was a stray cat that would come to our deck in the middle of the night (and it was freezing freezing cold outside, like close to 0). I don't know if she was worried about the stray kitty, or missing J.D.
I tested her and she was 59 two days ago.

Such a gorgeous pic and kitty has a name, I hadn't caught up with that. I think Jackson is just perfect for him - worth the wait! I hope they both realise it's their Valentine's Day duty to give you lots of extra smooches and cuddles today :kiss: have a great one Dyana

Can't your boss write a letter stating why you could not possibly serve jury duty? (Been there, done that!) Hope they never call your number!

That's a great name for your new little one, Dyana:). He's a cutie! I hope him and Ginger are getting to be best buds. Paws crossed on no jury duty for you! Happy Valentines day:joyful:

In the darkness at night, he looks like the same cat that was chasing Ginger last year. If he is, then my neighbors thought he was owned by someone. He kept going into my elderly neighbor's house. One time she was taking a nap last summer, and she woke up to him next to her. She said to me that he was trying to find a home for the winter. She's pretty wise. My other neighbor called him a girl and was always petting her and begging his Dad to keep her. He or She is very pretty, and seemed well fed and young. I just thought he was a male because he would happily (playfully) chase Ginger and when he got to her there was no fighting, just looking at each other. My neighbors thought he was being fed by another neighbor, so I don't know if he's just let out to roam or not. I haven't seen him in a couple of nights, but I'm not up in the middle of the night much.

The brochure and letter that came with the jury duty says letters from employers are not accepted, although my boss was totally willing to write one. Maybe, I'll have him write one anyway, that I can take with me. When I tried to click on the Excuse or Postpone buttons they didn't work for me, and when I called, they said it was because I used my medical excuse last time (I think that's what they said) when I wrote and told them I was caring for an elderly diabetic. It's for Federal Court and my Dad says if I get picked the case can go on for 6 months. There's no way I can afford to live on the $40 per day they pay their jurors, for that long. My employer will cover my pay for 3 days only. So wishes and fingers are crossed that I will not be selected.

Cuteness!!! Crazy cats, loving the snow!!! It is WAY too cold out today for anyone and everyone.

I hate jury duty...I hope you don't have to go. Really...you only get ONE medical excuse? What if you have on-going medical problems???
 
I love the pictures. It looks like Ginger and Jackson get along pretty well now. I hope you don't get selected for jury duty. They need to pay people more.

Dyana, he is a dreamboat boy. Love, too, the profile shot of Jackson and Ginger looking at each other, too. Oh goodness, I just love them all.

Can't you just tell the jury people you have a toddler at home and day care is out of the question on the jury stipend. Or just babble incoherently during jury selection. That might work. Or better yet, lots of wishes from here that you don't get called!

when they ask you questions to decide if they want you..... figure out how to answer in the way they don't want.

How do you feel about the death penalty. say I'm all for it....
