Hank is Eating Wet Food! WooHoo!!

Oh, it's been a long road but I think Hank is on the program!

Mel, "The Kitty Fairy Godmother" gave me the tips, push and encouragement I needed to get Hank going!
But I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner...I had it all the time...Hank's "kitty candy"! The high carb
treats! I sprinkled them on the wet food! the first day he licked the wet food. The next day he ate a little.
Today, Hank can't get enough that he ate my cat, Oscar's dinner that he hadn't finished.

Dang! Now I got a new problem...keeping Hank from eating Oscar's wet food! :-D

So, I have noticed today that his numbers were lower; +5 1/2 104 and PMPS was 274.

Better.

I'm transitioning from the dry so I'm letting Hank eat some wet and then giving him half less dry then he was getting.

I gave Hank for his PM shot 1.5u instead of 1.75u.

That is the biggest step towards getting the FD under control, getting them off the dry food. Congrats! :thumbup

A lot of us would have never made it without Mel, she's our FD Angel! :YMHUG:

Tricking them kitty's to do whats best for them is sometimes very challenging!!
I use the freeze dried chicken treats and sometimes I purchase antibiotic free chicken and boil it up and mix the chicken and even the juice into the food to get her to eat it. Sometimes it works and sometimes "not"!!
 
Hey, that's awesome!! So happy to hear Hank is getting along better. Great to see those numbers improving too! Let us know how the rest of the transition to all wet food goes. ;-)

YAY!!! Hank see I told you that the wet stuff was yummy! One advantage to having a herd of cats all converted to canned food, I had to use a lot of tricks to get them all to switch over, including the little guy I'm feeding outside, figured if we can sweet talk him into coming inside to stay he might as well come in already with the program...lol

If anyone else needs help with tricks just let me know I think I have mastered them all, after converting 18 cats so far of my own. (16 mine, 1 foster and 1 feral/stray)

Hard to believe only a couple of weeks ago he wouldn't touch the stuff and you should hear him now!
