Kitties All--

Trick or treat! This is the night of the year when the veil between us and our precious GAs is thinnest and we can see and hear them even better than we do at the full moons. Because we live in the moment, this is a very, very happy night for us, and it is worth the extra tinge of loneliness we will feel tomorrow.

We will feast on goodies crafted by my mentor, Chef Rusty, and the kitchen krews of yore at Halloweens past:
Appetizers: Witches' Micro Brews; Double-trouble Niptinis; Green Grog; Deviled Black Duck Eggs; Mousefoot Salsa on Nip Crackers; Bubbling Cauldron Cheese Dip; Mouse Mousse; Paw Prints Special Halloween Pizzas; Bog Clams Steamed in the Cauldron.
Entrees: Brunswick Stew; Baked Rats in Puff Pastry; Howling Buffalo Wings; Ghoulish Goulash; Turkey Pumpkin Casserole; Crunchy Tarantula Tacos; Eyes of Newt.
Salad: Tossed Witches' Broom.
Desserts: Cimmamum Cobweb Cookies; Jack-o'-Lantern Cake; Black Cheesecakes; Pumpkin Bars.

When you're picking out what to wear tonight, please consider these wise words from our loving Auntie J.J. (She said them to purry Furball, but I think it applies to us all!)

Oh my! Luci will not be able to participate in the dancing tonight due to her newly casted broken foot...but she will most likely be able to make her way to the taster's blankets and hopefully some of the others will bring her some of the tasty treats. She always enjoys all the goodies and usually dresses up in something outlandish and silly and rip-roars around the dance floor with the other kitties...:rolleyes:

I'll go upstairs and tell her about it now so that she can perhaps put something cute on her head - I don't think she's up to a full 'costume' tonight...but she's appreciative of the opportunity to visit with the other kitties and watch the proceedings.

Thanks so much for mentioning the pawty tonight! Yes, it's a special night and getting a peek thru the veil is always exciting.:bighug:
 
Leo says thank you so much Chef Felix for hosting this special Halloween pawty!!! :kiss: He just changed into his costume! He's big, fluffy and yellow!!!
Well look at that, he's dressed up as a LEMON!!! :):):)

He's really looking forward to seeing all his usual fur friends and all his new friends at the pawty and especially wanting to visit with all his special fur friends
that "live on forever" through the veil. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
We've finally got our costumes just right and we're on our way! Licorice had to have a bath - she took Rosa and Regan's "Longtail Surprise" a bit too literally and escaped outside and killed and partially ate a rat, so Mom made her have a bath to get the blood off. Or maybe she was getting a head start on the Baked Rats and forgot about the pastry! But we're ready to go now - everyone is ready to pawty, and we're all ready for our duties as well as our time with all the GAs. The menu looks like lots of fun. We love this time of year - it always belonged to our black cats, Rosa and Regan, so it will be wonderful to see them tonight at the Circle too. ~Roxi and Luna
 
Tina is dressed up like Hello Kitty, because her mom went through a middle aged childish fun spree and wore Hello Kitty jewelry in honor of her princess Tina. If anyone laughs at her, she'll dress like a lion next year. Thank you so much Felix for the invite - Tina's mom almost didn't get home in time to shoo her off to the pawty! She is especially hungry and ready to feast!!
