Hairball question

Does anyone have a good remedy for diabetic cats with hairball issues?

Vaseline (petroleum jelly) works. Just put a little dab on the paw and your cat will lick at it.

There are some supposed sugar-free hairball remedies out there but they contain malt flavoring which may not be good for a diabetic cat's bgs.
