Hairball help?

So one of my kitties has hairballs. He threw up this AM due to hairballs and has had several others this past week. Any advice on products or things I can do to help reduce these for him? I know there are a lot of products out there... Not sure if any are good or not. Any experience with that?

A bit of plain petroleum jelly dabbed on a paw daily may help over time.

Regular brushing to remove loose fur may reduce the number and frequency of hairballs.

With a long hair cat, it can help to clip the fur shorter.

Hi Rachel,

I use a tiny bit of vaseline (100% white petroleum) with Eddie. The regular hairball remedies are also petroleum based. Eddie thinks it's a treat! I've seen others mention a tiny bit of unsalted butter, or olive oil.
