Gobbles was diagnosed 11/2012...started on Lantus on 11/24/12... His hair was getting thin before he was diagnosed, after diagnosis and seems like it is still thinning......he is on 1 U. of Lantus every 12 hours (5 weeks now)....is there any chance his hair will stop thinning and/or regrow? Poor little guy

Is it all over or just in patches? My bailey is allergic t chicken and he rubs his face and ears and thins his fur, we never see him do it much though...

he is allergic to fleas...started on flea treatment monthly, advantage once per month, and the fleas were cleared up on the 16th of this month...

Ears, belly and down back

Hmm, maybe not an allergy then. When bailey lost his fur on his face we took him to vet and he mentioned it could be some rare disease who's name escapes me now. But it also would mean scabs and stuff. Are there scabs or wounds?

We decided to try a change in food first and are glad we did. It could be stress related too. Is there stubble?. That usually means itchiness.

His fur thinned a few years back when his flea allergy was diagnosted. No scabs or wounds, though. When he does get fleas, it takes two or three treatments for them to completely go away...so then he has had 3 treatments with the last treatment being about 2 weeks ago and fleas are all gone, so I assume if he continues to have noticeable hair loss it is not the flea allergy....
