No that does not mean she will have to be syringe fed. If they can get the nausea under control,most often they will start eating again. There are varying degrees of pancreatitis, mild to severe. It also is painful and if in case she would have it I would ask for pain meds, buprenex is the best.
They can do a test to see of she has it, I am hoping that she does not have it. I would print that Primer on Pancreatitis out and keep it handy, its by far the best explanation I have seen yet, you can take it to the vet as well. Although after what the vet told about vomiting blood and all that I am not so sure they know to much about treating it.
As I said my cat had it twice and never threw up blood or had diarrhea.
