Gave 0.5. Her lower BG reassures me! She was higher all weekend so this is good. Mixed water in food again and gave 1/4 tablet Pepcid dissolved in some water. She ate...more than she did last night even! Hope she eats some more today while I am gone. Vet said to bring her in if she didn't eat or was dehydrated so I guess we are good! Hope the water in the food helps avoid dehydration.

Let me ask this. Vet gave vitamin b12 shot yesterday. She said for some cats it is an appetite booster. I read up on it and it looks like it helps intestines that are irritated. Is that something I could/should give at home ever? Like once a week to help her? Anyone ever try that?

Don't know about cats, but I think my mom gets b12 shots once a month or so for a b12 deficiency. I don't think it's something you do weekly.

If any part of the problem is related to diabetic neuropathy, methylcobalamin may help.

Cyanocobalamin is helpful for pancreatitis; maybe it'd help for the GI inflammation, too.

Her number still good considering this weekend. I'll include the fact that she was sick when I update SS...hopefully tomorrow.

Still eating less. I wonder if that's because I added water to the food? So now she gets more water and gets full faster? Everyone is eating less...even me! :lol:

Gave 1/4 Pepcid too. Forgot til after she ate...wanted to have it in her anyway to keep things calm. Gave 0.5 insulin.

Hunger may calm down as glucose becomes bore controlled.
