Is this now Day 4 OTJ?

I think you may have already found the cheapest way to treat feline diabetes.

A question of curiosity: when did you start feeding Norman Fancy Feast? Was his foster mom feeding him dry when he was on 3u BID? I'm just wondering if this is what kept him from hypos prior to this last week. Then again, there are many cats whose pancreas starts working on its own again, so his could have kicked back on this past week, as well. ;-)

:RAHCAT Yay for Norman!

It is possible that Norman was getting dangerously low on 3u but that his body "learned" to deal with it. We will never know. Some cats can drop to the 20s or 30s and bring themselves back up. But it is not a gamble I would ever take in a million years especially since some cats have appeared to show signs of a hypo in the 40s.

Nice to see Norman still cruising along!

That is fascinating information I didn't know about. Thank you for the insight Marje. I wouldn't ever want to take that gamble either, but luckily Norman is a fighter because look at him go now!

Julian, how was his AMBG? Still surfing his way to OTJ?
