Good morning all -

Barring any surprise BG readings, like those after eating a pkg of cat treats w/ Dom the dog, Grayson seems to be adapting well to the increase of insulin. We're up to 3.2u now, and he's holding off the ketones as well - YEAH!!! The three times I tested his urine on Friday he was only throwing TRACE ketones! He just had fluids so we're still an hour or so out on his preshot. Hopefully he'll have an appetite by then, as he was very cooperative w/ the fluids while his face was in the bowl! Amazing how that works!

Planning to shoot 3.4 for his AMPS. I'd really like to break the 200 mark today. It's been a LONG while since we've seen anything that low (I still say the 154 was a bad reading).

Morning Lu-Ann,

You've done a remarkable job with Grayson...from keeping the ketones at bay, to staying aggressive on his dosing in order get him regulated. It's pretty amazing. I also hope you break that 200 threshold. You have a cheerleader from afar.

So, it appears that he's okay w/ the 3.4 units. I was a little hesitant, but clearly from his flat numbers so far, it doesn't seem to have been too much! Maybe we'll just stay at IHOP for the day!

Evening update:

After +4.3 the hungry little man devoured another can of FF... which accounts for his
+6 348 But lo and behold... he made it to the yellows!
+9.5 299. Okay, so barely. He was probably there sooner, but when I returned to the house from running errands, I came in to hear what sounded like all the appliances running at one time(particularly a mixer)!

I know Dom & Jack would NEVER play near the shopvac, but SOMEONE, one of 3 possible culprits, apparently jumped on it (in the middle of the kitchen) perhaps to get up on the counter, since Mom wasn't around w/ Mr. Green Bottle... :lol:
No tellin' how long it had been running - it was pretty warm - and could have jacked up a lovely mid-range yellow!

Now if they'd only have run it where it HADN'T been run yet!!!

I'm confused. Usually his food spike is 25-40 points; but a 66 point food spike at +4? HUH????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
