Mike saw Gracie this morning and asked about her, so the secret is out.

Good. Now I can enlist his help, albeit cautiously (he's the one who misread a different looking syringe with Spitzer and gave him 10 units instead of 1 unit ... to the tune of over $2,000 at Med Vet).
 
So he is okay with her? That would be great. I'd be afraid to ask him to help with much other than feeding her (if he can sure pick the right food) and just observing her. Now that he knows, does it give you any more options to isolating her so she feels safe and can be more accustomed to you?

Its my condo and I'm letting him stay with me until he can afford a place of his own again .... which may be a while given his health (frequent, real, sick days -> lost pay & higher med costs).

All the cats are fed low carb canned Friskies, so no food choice/purchase issues.

He was able to test Spitzer, so once that gets started, may be able to do that.

If he has a reference syringe, I'd let him shoot.

The place is crammed with stuff, so where she is will have to do. She'll get more interaction because he'll look for her.

oops, for a sec I thought Gracie was pregnant! ;-)

O/T: perhaps, Mike would like to try the new health insurance on .gov? My daughter, who lives in Utah, has friends (a couple in their 30s) who got on the website & ended up paying only @ $50 per month. Before they were paying over $800 per month! They're very conservative & hopping mad over how much they had been paying. :shock: Apparently, they also got dental insurance. Don't know anything about Ohio. My best to you, Mike & the furry gang.

He works for Ohio State University. The problem is staying healthy enough that he doesn't use all his leave up and go to unpaid status. He's that medically fragile.

Pretty well. Scabbies on head are resolving. She seems a bit more filled in along the spine. Very chatty/grumbly. I think I'm seeing some of the missing fur coming back.
