Got shot & Clavamox done by 8:55 am and was out the door by 9! Early for me, and I was able to drop off the car for service before work (oil change & new wiper blades, plus safety check because I drive for animal rescue transports)

Gracie feels thin along the back bone. She may not be eating enough due to the food change or she may not be on enough insulin (deliberately shooting under 1 unit, due to lack of testing; or both. Urine clumps have been small ... or other than in the litterbox *sigh*)

I'll attempt glucose testing this weekend and see how it goes. That ought to provoke a lot of grumbling. I've picked up a Confirm Micro, strips, and lancets. They only had 30-31 gauge lancets at the WalMart I frequent, so it may require a double poke or aiming for the vein.

... and the housemate still hasn't mentioned anything ... she may hide when he goes downstairs, but I would have thought he'd see her scurrying for cover from her sleeping spot near the gate.

Here's hoping the secret, stealthy kitty goes unnoticed by your roomie for longer. Long enough to get her comfortable and more trusting with all the care she is getting from you.

It sure can't be easy for little Gracie to be in a new strange place, with lots of strange kitties, and getting pills plus poking with the syringe. I'm a firm believer that Gracie will become more outgoing. It will juts take more time.

Its possible the other cats are eating the food you put down for Gracie. I know you work but maybe when you do have time put it down and make sure SHE is eating it. Hard to tell who could be sneaking down there eating the food. Dang gone after the counter was cleaned someone peed on it?
I know I used to put food down in the bedroom for Lilly when I was trying to get her to eat and I thought she was eating it until I saw mr. fatty Andy sneaking in there eating it.

She does perhaps look a little thin along the backbone.

Maybe the glucose reading will tell something when you get it.

Each meal, we're putting an entire 13 oz can down in that side of the basement, 1 can in the kitchen and 2 upstairs on the 2nd floor.

Evening shot and Clavamox done.
