Jasper's levels are always up in the morning. Today, I got a HI, above normal,. He only ate a little food, then went to his water. I didn't shoot yet. Hoping he'll eat more soon. What should I do?

So I added some of the 9 lives to the FF and he ate. I gave him his insulin. When I retested after, I got 147. I'm going to check his levels again in about an hour. He seems to be ok. I don't know what dose I should be giving him.

I dont either but as long as you have some high carb food and honey in your pantry I think Jasper will be safe. Checking again is imperative. In my book one cant test too much, especially when you are in uncharted territory. Please enter that last reading on Jasper's spread sheet.;)

Robyn, you got a 53 yesterday. You need to reduce the dose by .25 units. He is probably still bouncing from that low number which is why you're getting a HI (600+) reading. Can you add the 147 to your spreadsheet? That is a significant difference for one hour, I wonder if one of those readings were incorrect. I'd check him again at +1.5 to see what it says.
