I am so sorry to post the very sad news that sweet Leroy has gone to the Rainbow Bridge :rb_icon:cat_wings>o
My heart is hurting for @squeem3

He certainly put up a valiant fight and is such a hero with all he has endured.
Please say a prayer for ((((squeem3)))) and dear Leroy (if you are inclined) or send healing thoughts their way.

Squeem3 has been the most dedicated cat mom to Leroy for many, many months (and forever). It's not been an easy time for them.
She did absolutely everything possible for Leroy.
And he hung in there as long as he possibly could, obviously to stay with her for as long as he could.
Their love was palpableπŸ’•

Oh no. My heart dropped seeing the title of this post. I am so, so sorry.

Squeem, you exemplify everything that I want to be as a caregiver - just watching your dedication and commitment to Leroy has inspired me to do and be better, even in times where I was struggling. As much as you fought for Leroy, it was clear he fought so hard to stay by your side. He was an absolute champion. And the sweetest boy who had the most special folding bat ears.

I know that there are no words that can really make the hurt better, but I wanted to say that we're all mourning with you and will never forget Leroy. Please take care of yourself.
 
Oh, this is such sad news! That precious little fella fought such a valiant battle, but he was just worn out. Squeem3, you've been such a dedicated caregiver, always going the extra many miles for Leroy, always giving him the very best. Jude and I send our deepest condolences and wishes for peace as you go through this time of grieving. I know this is a huge loss for you. We look forward to you coming back to the forum when you're able.

I'm so sorry, Squeem. Absolutely heartbreaking. It's hard to type a sentence that conveys how great of a caregiver you are and how much he is loved, not only by you but a lot of people here. You and Leroy have been a rock here for a long time. We're all going to miss him so much. If you ever want to talk, we're here for you :bighug::bighug:

Im so sorry for your loss. You have been such an amazing care giver to Leroy and your love for him was so apparent. You went above and beyond for your sweet little man. Thank you so much for sharing him with us. I will never forget him.

Oh no!. I am so sorry Squeem, you tried everything you could. I kept hoping weirdo cat Leroy with that strong will could find some way to carry on. But sometimes their bodies are just done and there is nothing left you can do. There will be many of our GA kitties greeting him at the bridge. cat_wings>o

I was just showing my mom pictures of all the cats on the board, and said "now let me show you my favorite one", and found this post that I missed earlier when I typed in Leroy's name.

Sweet Leroy, you were and still are loved by so many, but especially by your mama, who is one of the most dedicated cat mom's I've seen on this forum. Squeem, I'm so deeply sorry and heartbroken for you. Like others have said, there really are no words...Leroy was such a fighter, and if we could feel your love for him through this screen, I can only imagine how much he felt he was loved. I hope you are being gentle to yourself, you went every extra mile and then some, and I know it doesn't take away the heartache that comes with losing a beloved pet (family member) but he is no longer in any kind of suffering. You gave him everything you had, and he gave you everything he had too. Love between a cat and their human is like that, it will always go the distance. I'm so sorry Squeem, we are all here for you when or if you feel up to coming on the forum.

My heart dropped when I saw this title and it keeps breaking for you (squeem3) and sweet Leroy over and over again.
We all know how much love and care you dedicated to your sweet weirdo and he'll be so very missed by all of us.
Please look after yourself too and check in on us when you're ready. You'll always have a special place here among all of us.

Sweet Leroy I will miss reading updates about you. I trust that all our FD kitties that have gone before you, will greet you on the bridge and guide you in.

Oh noooo! I wish I had seen this sooner, or maybe not because it’s just so sad. @squeem3 I am terribly sorry to read this about Leroy. You truly have taken the best care of him and it must have just killed you to let him go. I somehow thought that with your care he would be able to go on for a long time yet. You have been so giving of your time to others on this Board too. Many hugs are being sent your way, and many tears shed for Leroy and for your pain. I am so so sorry.
