hey all-
Hope everyone and their kitties are doing well! Leo has been in remission about 2 months now, and I was just wondering about some basic stuff I can do to keep him there. A bit ago I was concerned because he lost weight and I was wondering if there was a reason, however I believe it was just because I did change him to a portioned low carb diet. (Who’d have guessed lol) anyway lately he’s eating more and happier and softer, and I was wondering about a few small things just so I can be sure I’m not risking his remission!
So generally he gets friskies pate or a few select flavors of fancy feast (lowest carbs according to the food chart) he’s always been a grazer though, and I do have a bit of Iams kibble for him and my other cat throughout the day. In addition, he gets some occasional temptations brand treats. I can’t find the carb content ect, but he’s addicted to them so I give him a few a day. Anyone have experience with either iams dry food or temptations treats? He’s been on iams for years so he was on a strict dry iams only diet when he became diabetic... however I’ve always heard it’s the best choice for cheap brands I can get at the pharmacy. I dunno. Let me know!
Thanks
