Payne has finally stabilized ..... DKA, DK, ketones and pancreatitis, she has been sick! New vet thought one of the L's would work better, t.i.d. isn't necessary with new insulin and dose too high. I like the new vet, thought maybe new insulin was different, so I changed ..... I should have listened to my inner voice. Ten days into the new insulin/dose she crashed and immediately went into DKA ..... (sigh) and then DK. ohmygod_smile
Even good vets don't know our babies as well as we do and now he knows I was doing something right. She does well on pzi and especially with the t.i.d. I have lost the big swings. Plus pzi is so forgiving and so gentle and I know it, how it works. My goal is to keep her even, with decent numbers and hopefully the pancreatitis will? don't know, still don't understand but her pancreas has gone back to normal and no more leakage.
So good to be back, I never left in my heart ..... here's to good health!!
