Good Times to Feed a Cat on Pro Zinc

I have heard that you should not feed a cat 2 hours before a preshot. When are the best times to feed a cat to help prevent hypoglemia and

to keep preshots lower. I need to go to work after giving insulin shot so I can't how the dose is working.

I feed about 3/4 of a 3 ounce can before each shot and a smaller meal before nadir usually or sometimes at +2. My cat cries for food sometimes late in the cycle +9 or +10.

Test, feed, shoot may be done within 15 minutes. If you can wait about 15 minutes or so after feeding, to make sure the food stays down, before shooting, that is helpful.

Thanks, What other times can I feed my cat smaller portions? How about other times as well for small meals?

If he won't nibble and scarfs instead, mini meals at shot time, +2, and +4 may work. If he will graze, just put down the plate and pick it up 2 hours before the next shot.
